Spiritual Cinderellas
Many times we find ourselves in difficult times and it feels that we fighting a loosing battle. It feels that the dreams God placed in our hearts will never realise. We become despondent and wants to give up following the dreams in our hearts. We start to believe that happy endings is only for make-believe characters in fairy tales. Yet I sense the Holy Spirit is telling me that there are some spiritual Cinderellas that is still going to have there happy endings.
Romans 8:28 says; “And we know that God causes everything to work together for good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”
God will even use our own mistakes to work for our good if we will allow Him. God is for us and not against us.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Your future looks brighter than your past. The best is yet to come. When we read the Bible we find that God always leave the best for last. David went from Shepperd-boy, to fugitive to king. Abraham went from no child to the father of many nations. Joseph went from the pit, to slave, to prisoner, to prince. Samson killed more Philistines in one day than what he had in all of his life together.
God has plans for your welfare and blessing. He has no plan for calamity in your life. He is Almighty God. In other words His might, His ability, His power is endless. He can redeem any situations. He can cause you to go from prison to Prime Minister in one day. God is God. God always leaves the best for last. Greatness is still awaiting you.
Who are you, O great mountain?
‘Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbel you shall become a plain!” Zechariah 4:7 (NKJ)

Mountains in the Bible is a type of kingdoms. When I look at mountains I see the majesty of God, but the reality is that mountains can also refer to obstacles and problems.
Problems and obstackles can tower above us like mighty mountains. It can cause us to be discourage and filled with fear and worry. It can fill us with a sense of hopelessness.
Maybe you feel that your life is falling apart under the strain of the cares of life. Maybe you are facing financial difficulties or the mountain that your are facing is a sickness in your body. Maybe you feel that your life is in a mess and that you are locked in a habit that you can’t seem to break. Whatever mountain you are facing, you need to remember God is bigger than that mountain.
Who are you O great mountain? In others words, what problem, what obstackle dares to challenge our God. God is not intimidated by the big problems in our lives. “The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord; At the presence of the Lord of all the earth.” Psalm 97:5 No sickness, no demonic bondage, no financial problem, no problem can stand before our God. You and God will always be a majority.
Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbel, before John, before Sarah, before Jaden, before … whatever your name is. You shall become a plain. “Obstackles as great as mountains will disapear before you.” (Good News Translation) No sickness, no devil, no problem will be able to stand before you, God will bring it to naught. You have to believe that God is a good God and that He is good towards you. You have to believe that God is a miracle working God and that He will do a miracle for you.
Miracles do not just happen. God will do the miracle, but you have to work it. Jesus told us what to do when we face mountains. He did not say complain about it, or cry about it. He did told us to speak to the mountain. “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believe those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Mark 11:23(NKJ)
Someone once said; “Do not speak to God about how big your problem is but speak to your problem about how big your God is.” Trust God for a miracle. We serve a God of miracles. Speak to your mountain.
Press In & Never Give Up
“I will not let you go unless you bless me.” – Genesis 32:26
I heard someone once said that losers are winners that quited and winners are losers that never quited. Inside each one of us there is a potential winner and a potential looser it all depends on our willingness to persevere.
One of the essential qualities of winners and champions, is they are people who persevere when it is difficult to go on. If you want to operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, if you want to take the city for Jesus, if you want to survive a trial, if you want to save your marriage, if you trusting God for a miracle, if you want to build a successful business than you need to learn to press in and to persevere.
“Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying where there seems to be no hope at all.” – Dale Carnegie
Anyone can accomplish something great …. if there is no obstacles, no challenges, no sacrifices, no effort. Obstacles separate the winners from the losers, the man from the boys, the leaders from the followers and the ordinary from the extra-ordinary. When you are going through hell, keep going. When you fall, fall forward. Tough times do not last but tough people do. We will see a lot more miracles if we will persevere.
So do not throw away your confidence, your faith, your hope; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere, endure, press on so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised, your miracle, your breakthrough, your answer to prayer. – Hebrews 10:35-36 (Italics mine)
Kingdom Lifestyle or Christian Events
Many Christians today live by Christian events instead of having a kingdom lifestyle. They are waiting for one event after the other so that they can do the normal Christian thing. They waiting for Sunday morning to worship, to hear the word, to smile and be friendly and to give. During the week they do not worship God, they do not pray, they are not friendly, they do not read the word of God and they do not give. They might partake in a once a month event to take care of the poor or to reach the lost but as long it is an event and not a lifestyle, it will not be from the heart.
Some Christians pride themselves in the fact that their church is reaching the lost, caring for the poor, healing the sick. We may feel good about the fact that our church and our movement is doing these kingdom staff, but unless we are doing it, we are not followers and disciples of Jesus.
Faith is a lifestyle, praying is a lifestyle, worship is a lifestyle, giving is a lifestyle, praying for the sick is a lifestyle, evangelising is a lifestyle, doing good is a lifestyle, having integrity is a lifestyle. These things should not be done at special occasions, or just once in while. We should do this at every opportunity we can get. It should be as natural as breathing. That is authentic Christianity. It is a lifestyle not an event.
Impossible to be a Failure
There are days in your life and my life that we are not doing so well. There are days when me make mistakes, where we miss it and where we mess up. I don’t like those days. The temptation is to feel like a failure. To give yourself to discouragement and despondency. The enemy knows this. Sin abounds in the soil of discouragement. When you are discouraged you are prone to make wrong decisions. The more we dwell on past mistakes the more we are imprison by them. The more our past is holding us captive. Satan has made many people believe that their mistake, their failure is beyond redemption.
That is an insult to our God. God is able to redeem anything even our past. If He could not He would not have been God. The Bible says that a man shall reap what he sowed. In other words we have to face the consequences of the mistakes and wrong decisions. The best part is we do not have to face it alone. God is all the way with us in it dealing with the consequences of our mistake. God is not against us, even after we made mistakes. His official position is that He is for us and He is not changing His stance.
When you walk with God it is impossible to be a failure even if you do fail. The only way that you can be failure in life is when you fail and then refuse to pick yourself up. The Bible says righteous man falls seven times, but each time the Lord picks him up again. You cannot change your past but you can determine the outcome of your future. Let me ask you a question. If you fail or make a mistake, does that mean that your worth as a human being has dropped? Does that mean you are less valuable? No. Nothing that you do can lesser your value as a person. Paul give us good advice in what we can do.
Philippians 3:13 “… but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,”
Refuse to feel bad or a sense of guilt and condemnation. The blood of Jesus has cleansed you from all sins as if you have never sinned or never failed or never made that wrong decision. Rejoice in the Lord and move on with greater determination to live right for Jesus.
Be bless my friend.
A Battle of Life and Death
Everyday from the time that we wake-up in the morning, every human-being are involved with a battle that can lead to life or to death.
Romans 8:6 – For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
As soon as we are awake we are being presented with a choice to be carnally minded or to be spiritually minded. When we are carnally minded it sets of a process in our minds that can lead to spiritual death. Our lives are many times in a mess because our thinking is in a mess. We keep on failing because our mind is focus on failing. The enemy feeds our minds with poisonous thoughts that leads to worry, fear, anxiety, depression, trouble hearts, ulcers, suicides, divorce, and every evil deed.
From the moment we are awake we need to be conscience that we are in a real battle and be determine not to give the devil any place in our lives. Be prepare for war.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 – For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
Make sure that from the moment you are awake that your thoughts are in line with God’s word. That is what it means to be spiritually minded. This will lead to life, to healing, to success, to restoration. Being spiritually minded will produce a winning attitude in your life. So cast down any negative thought, any temptation, any thoughts of worry and fear and replace them with positive thoughts from the word of God.
You are a champion. A mighty warrior in Christ. Cheryl and I have seen God doing miracles in our lives. If He can do that for us, He can do that for you. One of the keys to miracles is in the way we thinks. Think BIG. Think positive. Think, I can. Think He will do it for you. Remember- the battle is on.

- Faith
Faith is the foundation for our Christian walk. Everything that you and I will receive from God is going to be received through the vehicle of our faith. Faith will cause the most timid person to become a mighty warrior. Faith will cause the weak to be strong and poor to be rich. Faith in God will heal your body and transform your circumstances. God releases the impossible when we have faith in Him. Without faith, we will never be able to please God. The best part is you and I can have faith. First God’s word declare that all of us already have received (past tense) a measure of faith. You have faith! Secondly, the Bible says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). Thirdly, all we need, to move the mountains that is in our way, is faith as small as a mustard seed. It really does not matter how big your faith is, what really matter is how big your God is. Mustard seed faith will accomplish the same results in your life as great faith. There is actually only one faith that works, and that is faith. If you have heard God’s word on a matter only once, than you have enough faith for God to work in that area. That is why many people receive miracles after they only heard once that God still heals today. All you need is one word from God and you are a candidate for a miracle. So build up your faith in God by reading His Word.
“…for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4
- 02 August 2009 – Getting Ready not to Go
The dear Savior stood by me one night in a vision and He talked face-to-face with me and asked what I was doing on earth. I felt condemned and said, “Lord, I am going to work in Your vineyard.” The Lord said, “When?” and I answered, “When I get prepared for the work.” Then the Lord said to me, “Don’t you know that while you are getting ready, souls are perishing? Go now and I will be with you.” (- Sings & Wonders by Maria Woodworth-Etter)
Many Christians are preparing themselves to do the Lord’s work. The only problem is that many of them never get to the stage that they are prepared enough to actually do something. I believe in good preperation but I believe that the enemy has used what is meant to bring great effectiveness in the kingdom of God as a vehicle for the greatest failure of the Christian Church. As long as devil can decieve people into believing that they do not know enough and that they are not prepared enough, he can keep them from doing the work of Christ. The truth is that we will never know enough and that we never will feel prepared enough.
Still I would make one excuse after the other, and Jesus would answer, “Go, and I will be with you.” I cried “Lord, I will go. Where shall I go? And Jesus said, “Go here, go there, wherever souls are perishing”. (- Maria Woodworth-Etter)
Revival
Most Christians long for revival and they are waiting for a sovereign outpouring of the Holy Spirit that will bring revival to their backslidden hearts. I am more and more convinced that revival is not something that we need to wait upon, but something we need to walk in. To have revival I believe we need to do two things. Prayer and obedience. As simple as that. Love God, spend time with Him in prayer and his word and do the word. That’s revival. Pray for the sick, witness to the lost, give to the poor, love your neighbour. Now if we can have the Christian church just to do that, that in itself will be a huge miracle. The only limitations that we have that keep us from walking in revival is the limitations that we ourselves have placed there.
